Improving the Video Performance of AMILO Mini

Postby ScotsGentleman » Wed Aug 19, 2009 15:53

I'd like to know if there's any way to improve the video performance of an AMILO Mini. Cost is no problem, I just need ideas, please!

The problem:

I can't play hi-definition .wmv files without the video playing jerkily.

I can't run 3D chat software at a reasonable speed.

Thanks in advance to all contributors!

If anyone else is interested in the problem, in the Intel GMA properties set memory footprint to high and power-saving to none. After that get GMABooster for Intel 950 series (http://www.gmabooster.com/download.htm) and increase to 400 MHz clock when needed. The voltage is not changed so there should be little to none excess heating. Been using it for months with no problems. With this you should be able to play up to 720p with no lag, .H264 .mkv will still require to buy the CoreAVC codec to play though.
