Two hard drives?

Postby Primo Busancano » Mon Jan 04, 2010 23:00

My Amilo Desktop L seems to have 2 hard drives:
System(C:) and
Data(D:)
At the moment It would appear that I am only using System(C:)
Data(D:) is empty. How do I get into it to use it.
Thanks for any replies.
Primo.

I think that you have found "the second disk" via Computer Manager. But this is not a real "second" disk, but just a small partition of the only installed HDD with an installer of Operation System prepared by FSC. That is why this partion even is not mounted into Vista by default (no letter is given).

The reason for the DATA drive is where the image file is located but is hidden by default by windows for when you use the console recovery to reinstall or restore back to factory settings.

As a note i use the free space to store files etc and when i complete a factory restore the files aren't deleted as only the first partition is formatted and windows reinstalled.
