Postby beers » Tue Aug 30, 2011 17:26

Hi!
I would like to replace a motherboard processor! So far, it was a 3000 semptron!
The BIOS would f7a! Which is the largest processor that can handle the tab?
Thanks!

I wonder whether this would be the right forum to ask this question?

From a Fujitsu point of view no processor upgrade would be sanctioned like this. And I doubt whether too many people who might have this knowledge will visit this part of the forum.

You might want to check one of the more relevant forums on the internet who deal with overclocking and such.

Lacking some specs, but i'm guessing it's a close relative to GA-K8RS482M-FS-02.
That would mean "Socket 939 for AMD AlthlonTM 64 / 64FX / Sempron processor (K8)"

With the help of your serial number, go find out what BIOS updates you got available, usually there is some hint's in the documentation (fixes) they include. Look for Athlon 64 / Athlon 64 X2 & Athlon FX.

Best of luck...
B!
