SOUND DRIVER HELP !!!!!!!

I have been using Windows XP along with the SCALEO P for some years now , only a few weeks ago i logged on as normal and chose to go to my Windows Media Player when i chose to play a music track a pop up appeared saying there was no sound device avaiable, having since checked there is now no Sound Driver on my system at all can anyone help, unfortunately i have lost my CD that came with my PC to be able to re-load the system, any help would be appreciated

Is this still topical?

Is your Mobo (Motherboard) a D945 PPM? See

In that case you have got a Sigmatel Audio SoundCard install drivers from:
http://aic.lgservice.com/SWLDATA/KRSWL0 ... -b1-a1.zip

as described here:

Of course you should first make a restore point!

PS:
You could also tru and install the Intel AC97 driver, same link, see Peter's comment (September 9, 2006 at 6:08 am)
