Hm...
I don't know, if it's really for the EVi series.

Here (also a German board) two users tried it and now seem to have problems with the LAN chip, fan speed control, and S3 mode.

Did you get any error messages during the update process?

*Edit: Oh, and the same here.
But I think you already found this one.

Right I own a Scale E and just got a EV :)

I have upgraded both, Dont bother with PCI Express 2 cards ! only buy native PCI Express 16x

These work in both machines no problem :) I use Sweex Nvidia 8400GS with 512MB Ram its a GC351 BUT HALF HIGHT !!!!! Ask to see card, i bought mine from ebay
All I did was remove the full heigh bracket and slot it in :)

All I did was remove the full heigh bracket and the VGGA Cable and slot it in :)

I installed the LG Multi drive as u mate

Image

The machine plays Blue Ray and HD DVD peachy, and the latest Nvidia control panel alows u to manually resize your display to fit you screen, so fits purfect in the 50" Pioneer

I may look into a processor upgrade but at the mo "If it ant broke and so on"

Just for reference

The ADD2 card

port

JP1 Digital Audio Bus to add Aduio signals to HDMI Port
JP2 Component Out (YPbPr)
JP3 Scart (RGB) out

Thanks for your post, Gizmo.

Does the Add2 card have some product number or something similar?

Basically "Never touch a running system." :)
Someone wanted to update his Bios just because it's "outdated".
And the Mod from FSC said, updates on FIC's boards are not as safety as on other mainboards.
So if your system works fine, you don't need a Bios update.

But what I'm missing in my Bios is the whole Hardware Monitoring section.
It only displays the speed of the CPU fan, nothing more. No temps, no voltages...

Is it the same on your machines?

Hi,

i recently bought a barebone Scaleo EVi 2535 from ebay, but i have some problems even at the beginning...

I read this thread about the cooling and I just realized that I have only an ATX cooler for my CPU I have (an Intel E6400).
I'm looking for a suitable cooler for this, but I just don't know the parameters I should check fo such a BTX cooler, meaning height, etc..
Or does anyone have an example what cooler is proper for this PC?

Any help would be appreciated, since that's the only thing that I miss to set up this fine HTPC, it looks really nice :)
Just this cooler thing...

Thanks.

You bought a barebone Scaleo EVi 2535? Can I know the characteristics and features of this thing?
In order for me to have an information about it.

You can't overclock on these boards it seems. I have had a Amilo P for over a year now and I need to overclock it because I'm getting a GTX 480 Nvidia graphics card.

There is some jumpers on the motherboard. Thier set to one and two. Need to put the jumper on 2 and 3 and then start computer and go into BIOS. I've heard that should show the advance option. Either it does or just resets the whole thing and your in a mess.

Would like a moderator to help us on this option. We've (well me) paid over £500.00 on a computer and I expect it to be mine and to allow me to do what I want with it.

Mine is a 2.5GHZ q8300 and need to clock to 3.2ghz so the gtx 480 runs smooth.
