Postby 2e1ehm » Sat Apr 05, 2008 13:38

Hi group
I have this model of pc Product: Scaleo T P 280 1 512MB Identification number: - deleted by Mod. -
what happens is it switches on it doesnot beep, the screen doesnot come on, but it just sits and the 2 cdrom drives flash alternately, that is all it does. I have changed graphics card, but not memory as yet. Has anybody got any ideas.
Thanks very much
David

My guess is that your hard drive is broken.

Hi group,
I've just changed the harddrive but its still the same. This is certainly a strange one as it has this problem when cdrom and harddrives are disconnected. So it doen't beep and nothing comes on the screen.
Thanks
David

Hi 2e1ehm, you could try swapping the RAM or even trying your existing stick in another slot just as an experiment but the fact that you get no beeps at all on power up does not sound good, if it was a fault with GPU, RAM, CPU etc you should get a bios error code (a beep code).
Check all the connections inside the machine anyway and that any cards are correctly seated, also check the processor fan is spinning, you could even try another PSU if you have one :(
Learning all the time.
