[Scaleo P] with Intel CPU 820D 2.8 Mhz - CPU TEMP

Postby sbapi1 » Sun Aug 19, 2007 10:50

Hello, my PC is Scaleo P with Intel CPU 820D 2.8 Mhz and S.O. MCE 2005. Temperatures of the cpu are very high. Usually around 60-65 celsius degrees and sometime over 70 celsius degrees too !!! Fans can hardly refresh making a big noise too. My question is that : these kind of temperature are regular or there's something wrong? Thank in advance. Bye.

Have you tried cleaning out your cpu fan and heatsink ?
It could be that the temperature is running high due to dust and fluff clogging these up and reducing their efficiency.
Once cleaned you should replace the thermal paste between your cpu and heatsink, I would recommend arctic silver 5 for this.
Let us know how you get on.
Learning all the time.
