Is possible Celvin NAS Q902 4.3.3 - downgrade to 4.2.6 without data loss?

Postby xowdx » Fri Jan 12, 2018 13:08

Hi All,

I was unperceptive at the end of the past year, and I make a mistake.
I downloaded and then installed the first firmware, waht I found in the Q902's download site.
So I upgraded to the version 4.3.3 - 0398 (07/12/2017) from version 4.2.4 - 20170320 (20/03/2017).
The upgrade was successfull, but when I want to connect to the NAS over iSCSi initiator the NAS makes a reboot, then reports to me that the filesystem is not clean. After FS repair the NAS work again if I not probe to connect with iSCSi Initiator.
The iSCSi settings seems to be good, all modified settings saved fine.
The NAS is up from 20/12/2017, but without iSCSi connection.

So can I downgrade to the stable 4.2.6 - 20170601 (01/06/2017) version from the 4.3.3 - 0398 (07/12/2017) without data loss?
Or any other idea for the iSCSi connection problem?

Thanks,

Peter

I'll copy the files from the /share/MD0_DATA/.@iscsi.img folder to another NAS, then I probe to mount them.

Re: Is possible Celvin NAS Q902 4.3.3 - downgrade to 4.2.6 without data loss?

Hello,
greetings from Germany, we have the same problems over here.

We just called the Fujitsu hotline for assistance and the solution is an downgrade to the older firmware image.

Please note:
Data loss is possible.

To install the older firmware you must shut the Q902 down and then pull all the HDDs. Then start the Q902 without the HDDs an insert them a few minutes later (while its running). Then you need the Fujitsu QFinder Pro (my Version 6.3.0.0112), in this tool you can install the (older) Firmware, only possible if the first steps with the HDDs was done. Its not possible to install the older firmware otherwise.

The Fujitsu phone support said that a new Firmware release is on the way, but the only way to get the devices running is the downgrade. The internal tests at Fujitsu confirmed that there was a ISCSI bug in the 4.3.3 release.

I hope my english is not to bad

Hi,
there is a FW release available for download which should allow the use of iSCSI devices again.
Version is 4.3.3.0408 from December 17th, 2017.

I cant check is the issue is solved, I did not have any trouble with my iSCSI devices.
They have been accessible with every FW up to now.

Regards
