Eternus DX90 S2 Multipath isseu

Postby Fabiflex » Wed Jun 11, 2014 14:12

Hello All,

I"ve a problem with my VDI POC. I'm using a bladeserver BX920 S3 with windows 2012 as hypervisor for the VDI. The moment when I want to make a pooled Collection the Eternus Multipath Manager shows that all paths are on standby  . The connection is internal trough the bladecenter BX400 with 2 zones configured for the fiberswitch. The connection interface is with the Emulex MC FC82E PCI Storport Miniport Driver. If I look in the event log of windows the event 2012 F3GLMiDr:
An error notification was received from the HBA driver.
If this event occurs repeatedly over an extended period of time, check the hardware.

Device : ScsiPort2, PathId=0, TargetId=0, CAID=02, LUN=0
SrbStatus : 0x0b

Check the following hardware:
HBA(s), NIC(s), or CNA(s) on the server-side
Cable(s) connecting the server and the storage system
Fibre Channel switch(es) (when used)
Fibre Channel switch SFP Module(s) (when used)
Storage system
I also see:
Due to an error in which the status of the path listed below repeatedly alternates between normal and error, the path is forcibly disconnected.
Connectors may not be connected properly or a hardware malfunction may have occurred. Check the hardware.
Even if the automatic path restore function is set in Multi-path Manager, the setting will not automatically restore the device path listed below. A path can be restored by rebooting the OS or by using Multi-path Manager to restore the path.

Device : ScsiPort2, PathId=0, TargetId=0, CAID=02, LUN=0

Check the following hardware:
HBA(s), NIC(s), or CNA(s) on the server-side
Cable(s) connecting the server and the storage system
Fibre Channel switch(es) (when used)
Fibre Channel switch SFP Module(s) (when used)
Storage system

It looks like the connection is very slow because of this.

Does anyone incountered this problem before?

Regards,
Fabian
