Critical issue in FibreCAT SX firmware J200P45 and J210P22

Postby Fredrich » Fri Jul 27, 2012 11:22

Hi, our SX88 RAID Controller has locket just as described in “Critical issue September 1st, 2010 in FibreCAT SX firmware J200P45 and J210P22”.

The firmware issue causes the Management Controller (MC) configuration information to be lost and the MC to become unavailable because of:
- Management Controller failure during normal operation
- Management Controller failure after a shut down or controller restart

I'm sure someone else has had this problem or are we the only ones???

- Now I got an answer from "Fujitsu Support" where they say "If the system has run into the bug described, the management interface is permanently blocked and the controller has to be replaced... The firmware upgrade prevents that the ASIC will run these activities. But if the ASIC is a blocked status already, a new ASIC is required."".

So next question to all of you professionals is if you all agree or is there any "workaround" to solve this?
We can’t update New Firmware revisions J200P50 and J210P23 from CLI or with the web browser.
When we use CLI the file J200P08.bin is accept but then it say “file corrupted”. The Web browser accept login but the field Manage is grey so we are also stuck there.
Please! Can someone help us to pass by this and do an FW update so we can use the SAN again without replacing the SX88 RAID Controllers’?

Sincerely //Fred
