ETERNUS LT40 autochanger not recognized

Postby jbrunbau » Fri Feb 26, 2010 10:47

Hello!

We try to configure an ETERNUS LT40 autochanger on Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2 Enterprise Edition. Our Backup software is Legato NetWorker 7.4.3. The autochanger is connected through an Adaptec SAS Controller.

The HP LTO-4 tape drive is visible to the OS, the autochanger not. Here is the list of our SCSI-devices, using Legato command 'inquire':

scsidev@0.0.0:HL-DT-STRW/DVD GCC-4482B1.01|CD-ROM
scsidev@1.0.0:IBM ServeRAID 6.10|Disk, \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0
S/N: 80007B4C00
VENN=
scsidev@3.8.0:IBM 39R8711a S320 11 |Processor
scsidev@4.0.0:IBM DUMMY DEVICE 7.10|(Unknown Device Type 10)
scsidev@7.0.0:HP Ultrium 4-SCSI U25B|Tape, \\.\Tape0
S/N: HU19437CGG
ATNN=HP Ultrium 4-SCSI HU19437C
GG
WWNN=5000E11133DE0004
WWPN=500110A0012C6DE4
WW2N=5000E11133DE0004
PORT=00000001

According to the driver download section of the ETERNUS LT40 tape lib, W2K3 x64 is not supported???

Any help would be appreciated,
Joachim

Thanks for not responding to my post, and delivering such outstanding support! This was my last Fujitsu product.
