[N100] does not get signal in europe what am i doing wrong?

My pocket loox n100 works fantastically in the uk, gets a lock immediately but on recent trips to amsterdam and italy it did not ever get a satellite lock, just a "no signal" icon. i am using sw version 1.57.00, hw version A. I am going to france next week and would really like it to work!

Any ideas anyone?

I had similar problem when I installed Germany maps downloaded from torrent. When I crossed the borders to Germany, GPS signal disappeared. So I think the problem is in the maps you use.

Anyway, I have problem too. I am still trying to install 1.57 update, but always error apperars. When using USB version of update, ERROR[260] appears, when using miniSD version of update, WRONG IMAGE error appears. Any advice?
