When my program switches the sound off by setting the output volume to mute this does not produce any unwanted clicks. But when my program sets the output volume to value different then mute I can always hear a click even if the wave that is to be played cointains only zeros.
The same effect can be observed when one uses the MediaPlayer playing "silence" wave file and switch the sound on and off on the Volume control dialog.
Is there any way to switch the sound on without this unwanted clicks?
My program is written is C++ and uses the waveOutSetVolume API function.
