[PRIMERGY RX2450 M1] - Can't acces MegaRaid WebBios

Postby S3BR4 » Wed Sep 01, 2021 11:39

We are trying to setup our new RX2450 M1 and can't figure out how to access the MegaRaid WebBios to creat a raid 5 array. CTRL + H does nothing during boot and we are wondering if there even is a webbios on this machine to setup a raid.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ctrl-H is available only on CSM- (=legacy) -enabled systems (if the RAID controller fitted in the box actually provides it).
If you set your system for (U)EFI, no Ctrl-H is possible: You'd need an EFI-compatible configuration tool, or use the setup in the mainboard's "BIOS" tool itself.
Sorry, I don't have such an AMD system available right now to describe exact steps in its specific setup tool.

PS:
Did you already check Fujitsu's setup tool documentation, esp. chapters 4 and 8?

Thanks for the help. Turns out the problem lies with the system not being able to build raids from NVMe drives. The raid controller aparrently can only do that on intel systems. :(

Though I hardly believe this assumption to be true, I wouldn't state that it can't be true at all...
But it would definitely help if you could disclose the exact type of RAID controller (and NVMe drives) being used in your machine...
According to the webconfigurator, EP540i/EP580i actually CAN drive up to four x4 NVMe SSDs (in RAID configuration), while the inferior EP520i CANNOT (and that is information retrieved with an AMD RX2450M1 selected).
