RX2540M5 Boot from RAID

Postby FujitsuServerDude » Wed Aug 05, 2020 11:03

Dear all,

we have a RX2540M5 server and got a CP200 raid controller for our 2 M2 SSD hard drives. Where do I found the option in the BIOS to boot from this RAID (controller) ? Do I have to install the controller into a special PCI slot?

Thanks in advance.

(Update)
In the RAID Manager (ServerView), I can see that the logical drive is functional but inactive. How can I activate the logical drive?

The bootable RAID controller in this Server should be placed in SLOT2
Do you have any other RAID controller on the server?
ANYWAY what OS willyou install over the 2 mirrored M2 SSD by CP200?
If the server is running in UEFI MODE (CSM DISABLED) as soon as the BIOS will find a bootable OS in ANY device, it will appear in the BOOT DEVICE MENU (F12)

Andrea
