Postby caputiq » Sat Mar 28, 2020 9:15

I am responsible for servicing some accounts that have the Fujitsu Prime Power 650 onsite. I would like to know is there a command line that I could use in CLI in order to retrieve the error log output for analysis. Are there any interface tools that I can aqcuire for this product line?

Hello :)

I will try point some tools for diagnosis. I will reference to official documentation which I uploaded to ftp.

1) The diagnostic can be done from OBP or OS level. But the server has to allow perform POST.

MaintMan_850_650_REPetc_v3a.pdf
OBP commands please see the section: Confirming POST Execution and the Results
OBP commands eg:
show-error-logs
show-post-results[/size]

Solaris tool called Machine Administration Tool allows see a lot of useful information. This tool is a part of ESF software and it was avaliabe for all Primepower instalations. Should be install in the location /opt/FJSVmadm/. See the tree of options -> [Machine Administration] Machine Administration Menu
Eg:
Machine Administration: Checking Hardware Error Log
Machine Administration: Checking OS Message Log

2) In case of the server cannot be power on you need to check the HW and please see how to do diagnosis from LCD panel. There are a section.
MaintMan_850_650_MAP_REF_v4.pdf
An Error Code is displayed on LCD of Operating Panel.

3) Another tool from OS level
a) /var/adm/messages
b) # /opt/FJSVsnap/bin/fjsnap –a /path_to_outputs
c) # /opt/FJSVhwr/sbin/fjprtdiag -v

Mentioned pdf can be download from this location:

Mostly this software is installed by customer/engineer because it facilitate the management of the PRIMEPOWER very pretty.
At first check whether the FJSVbse package is installed.
