Primergy RX 300 S8 chassis serial error

Hi all.

I would like to know, how can I fix my Primergy server. It went off from nothing, and after when I switched it on, it stay before POST and waiting for chassis serial no.: ???

Please, if anyone knows something about it, I need a fast and quick solution.

UPDATE 1: i have found in the iRMC event log two error definitions for the same event: 0x60 or 080099

Is iRMC firmware up to date? What version?

Have you tried a full disconnect to power to discharge everything for 20 seconds?

iRMC version is the following:
Firmware Version: 7.07F (Base: 7.07.F)
Firmware Date: Sep 26 2013 - 13:00:26 CEST
Firmware Running: High Firmware Image
SDRR Version: 3.53 ID 0356 RX300S8

Yes, I have tried to switch off wait around 20-30 seconds, and even took out the battery, from the motherboard, not from the RAID controller.

iRMC firmware is VERY old - update that first then reassess .. firmware up to 7.68F had nasty problems - latest is something like 8.46F!

Yes that version of the download is suitable for updating via web interface

It is done, I have the newest version installed, here is the latest error report, and I am still stuck at the pre boot screen when it is asking for the chassis serial: ???

And you have reset the iRMC after updating so the new firmware is established?

Can you upload a photo of the screen where it hangs?

I am thinking about to update the BIOS too. But I don't know if it will fix this issue.

As I thought it's not ASKING for the serial number it is just showing that the serial number cannot be found.

Check the cable from the rear of the front panel to the motherboard
