I am trying to install the CMS under Red Hat, but i have problems trying to configure the external PostreSQL database.
I am following the manual "ServerView Operations Manager V.6.30 - Installation under Linux", in page 97: "ServerView database on a remote database server".
In page 98, it is said that 1. Install the ServerViewBase package. -> DONE
2. Edit /etc/fujitsu/ServerViewSuite/ServerView/global.conf, to put your COM_DB_SERVER IP:
cat /etc/fujitsu/ServerViewSuite/ServerView/global.conf
# Extension for ServerViewDB
export COM_DB_SERVER="10.111.222.16"
3. Install further required packages with the following command:
./install.sh
I get the next error:
Executing script "53-special-upgrade.sh" at 2014/04/21-11:59
+ '[' -n '' -a '' == true -a -f /var/fujitsu/ServerViewSuite/ServerViewDB/ServerViewDB_Dump ']'
+ exit 0

If in 2, I try to put the IP of the CMS and the DB Server:
cat /etc/fujitsu/ServerViewSuite/ServerView/global.conf
# Leave this variable equal "127.0.0.1" if DB and CMS are installed on the same host
export COM_CMS_SERVER="10.111.222.165"
# Extension for ServerViewDB
export COM_DB_SERVER="10.111.222.16"
I get:
Executing script "10-odbc-uninst.sh" at 2014/04/21-12:03
Executing script "service-stop.sh" at 2014/04/21-12:03

error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping ServerViewDB-6.21-08

What can i do? The ServerView database is not generated on the remote database server...
