Duplicated mouse pointer in IRMC

Postby Geziefer » Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:34

When using the IRMC console, I see 2 mouse pointers in graphical environment, one from my machine and one from the server (both RHEL based OS), which look identically and thus are hard to use, especially since they are at different locations and move with different speed.
I tried changing the local mouse cursors, this helps a bit, but not always, since sometimes my local cursor gets displayed again as default.
I also tried the mouse sync options and buttons, which doesn't change anything.
So, how can I avoid having 2 mouse pointers, as it's common when using virtual machines or VNC consoles?

Server machine: PRIMERGY RX300 S6
Remote Management: iRMC S2 Web Server
Firmware Version: 5.63A (Base: V3.10A8P2)
AVR Client for Java: version 3.10.0

Update iRMC to 5.75A, disable hardware acceleration in graphics property on the server then try th mouse sync option again

Thanks for the reply - couldn't try it yet, since I don't have full control over the machine - but we have another machine S7 with 6.61A iRMC and there we have the same behaviour - plus, I don't see an option for disabling graphic acceleration, where should that be set?

Depends on the OS on your target server but usually somewhere under display or mouse options

Ok, thank you, that solved it, even without updating the iRMC version.
When the mouse acceleration is set to the slowest value and the mouse is synched once, then one still has 2 mouse pointers, but they are one above the other.
