ServerView on RX300s7 with ESXi 5.0

Postby rapix » Tue May 28, 2013 20:38

I need some help to install ServerView to control a RX300s7 server with ESXi 5.0 U2 Essential.
In particular I wish to receive warning notifications about raid status and eventually manage RAID without reboot the server and press CTRL-H.
I have already installed on ESXi server the update provided from fujitsu support site named "Fujitsu Custom Offline Bundle ESXi".
To manage the server shall I install ServerView RAID Manager and SV Operation Manager on a Windows Server 2008/2012 VM?
Has someone any syntetic document that explain how to do.
Any suggestions is appreciate.
Thanks.

Raf

Probably the best source for the information you're looking for is Fujitsu's own White Paper Fujitsu ServerView solution with VMware. You'll also find this on the ServerBooks DVD that shipped with your Primergy Server. There you'll also find the documents for SV-RAID and SV-OM.

I have already read this white paper but this is an architectural exposition on ServerView software in Wmware environment. What I realy need is a guide to steps to follow also not detailed.

This architectural exposition shows the software necessary to manage such an infrastructure, and their interoperation.

Sorry, I don't know of a step-by-step guide tailored for your environment.

You either need to work yourself through the manuals, or get in touch with one of your local Fujitsu partners, an ask them for a service offer to set all up for you.

I don't know why you lose time to write unnecessary comments, If you haven't news let somebody else replicate.
Thanks.

Don't bother worrying about my time.

If my comment is of no use for you, then simply ignore it.

This thread is open for everyone to comment, just like any other.

Good luck finding other suggestions.

I'm outta here. *PLONK*
