If you experience problems while downloading these files, I suggest using a download manager like Free Download Manager (free and open source).

If you do not have an operating system installed yet or if you are unable to fit all of the Update DVD's 5 GB on a DVD, you can create a bootable USB stick. See UpdateMgrExpressLinuxLife_ReadMe.txt for instructions.

The update worked perfectly on all of my systems.

Did your systems include 2012 Essentials? That is the one my client is using and appears to be the only one missing from the OS list.

Hi WinSvrAdmin.

My success was with the Update DVD which is used to update BIOS and firmware.

If you have secure network access to the customer, the best way for you to maintain a Windows server is to
    1. Map a drive to the server (from your desktop),
    2. Upload a DVD that contains Windows drivers,
    3. Log into the server using remote desktop, and
    4. Run whatever utility to scan and update the drivers (or install them manually).
I myself am still coming up to speed on Fujitsu servers and technology but in general, this does work.

What is this DVD containing the WIndows drivers and where do you get it?

WinSvrAdmin,

All Fujitsu drivers are in the DRV sub-directory on the SVIM DVD.

Drivers that are installed on a Windows machine can be listed by running

Code: Select all

driverquery

from the command line.

Fujitsu has a lot of software supporting their servers. I have not made my way through all of it yet. The information above should get you most of the way to your goal.

Sorry but I can't help you. I'm as much in the dark as you about managing the Fujitsu. And I haven't looked at this one since I posted my original question.
