well, regarding the serial no. issue, please see your initial post, and compare to your signature. I should have checked it myself as well, sorry.
And sorry again: I misinterpreted your text in assuming that the hang mentioned actually only occurs from time to time.
Then, according to the LED indicators, the machine was switched off while the pictures were taken.
Do the blue LEDs switch off when you press the ID button?
Does the green LED next to the iRMC chip flash (it's labeled "iRMC" on the mainboard), or does it remain dark all the time?
In normal operation, this LED should start flashing a few seconds after the power supplies get connected to mains (well, at least one of them...).
If this LED remains dark, and the blue LED cannot be managed by pressing the ID button, then this most important "integrated Remote Management Controller" chip does not work properly anymore. And you won't get any useful information from its logs, of course.
As you mentioned that you already disconnected mains, what is the initial startup sequence of the LEDs?
You could try to disconnect the server from mains again, press and hold down the ID button while reconnecting one of the power supplies, and see if the server can be switched on that way.
And you could thoroughly check the cabling connection between the front panel and the mainboard (just a rough but hopeful guess).
