fujitsu fi-7160 stopped working

I have been using the fujitsu fi-7160 for over a month now and one morning it just stopped working, now you scan and the pages go through the scanner but the page preview is gone and it flashes (scanning....to stop scanning press the esc key) on the bottom of paperstream and just freezes, I have to force close it.

I have tried uninstalling all the drivers and software and reinstall several times with the same result, complete scanner power cycle with same result, I tried installing the same software and drivers on a different computer with the same result, I know the scanner works because I can still scan with windows fax and scan with no issues, I could only use ISIS driver, the TWAIN driver always said "scanner not found" both 32 and 64bit, I pretty much cant think of anything else to fix this or why it happened.

Hopefully someone can help with this as I have thousands more documents to scan.

Windows 10 Pro V2014 (OS Build 19041.508)
PaperStream IP (TWAIN) 2.10.3
PaperStream IP (ISIS) for fi-71xx/72xx 2.10.1
PaperStream Capture 2.10.0 (also tried the PSC21000UPD with no luck)
