Big problem with my processor

I've got a Scaleo P: Amd64 3200+, AtiX300, 512Mb,200Go of hardisk ...So, i've got a verry big problem with my precessor...When i check my processor performences, i see 1001Mhz ,and 2 sec after ,when i check it again and i see 1801Mhz , and one more time later , i see 2001Mhz...<BR>It changes every time and it makes me sick because it lags a lot...<BR>please try to help me ... <P>[This message has been edited by Nassim (edited 08 October 2005).]<p>[This message has been edited by Nassim (edited 08 October 2005).]

disable the cool´n´quiet function in bios.<BR>it´s a function which reduces the heat output and reduces the power consumption of 64bit processors by reducing the cpu clock rate, in case the processor is not really charged to its max. capacity. it may cause problems, so it did by my pc (AMD64 X2 3800+ dualcore)<BR>
