Maximum amount of RAM supported

Hello!
I have a SCALEO 600 PC which seems to have a Gigabyte GA-8SGXL motherboard according to the freeware tool Lavalys Everest. Now I wanted to upgrade my PC to 1.5 GB, but I am not sure if this is supported. While Googling for GA-8SGXL, I came across a forum thread which had a link to this manual:
www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/boards/Motherboards/GigaByte/8SGXLFS/8sgxlfs_uk.pdf
However, when I go to the FS site and click my way through the download area, I find these manuals:
http://download.fujitsu-siemens.com/Download/ShowDescription.asp?SoftwareGUID=65A46A8B-5039-4BCF-B910-4A7A919CCA36
Now the weird thing is that the first manual states that the board supports a maximum of 3 GB, while the second one states that the board is limited to 1 GB. The second manual seems to be for the FS2 board, while the first one for FS.
Regards,
Sebastian
