Re: ServerView RAID Manager not showing RAID arrays

Have you tried deinstallating ServerView Raid Manager and then installing the latest version ?

Re: how can install a new harddisk?

A RAID-1 (mirror) will protect your user data against single disk failure. So they can continue accessing their data whilst you get the failed disk replaced. If you just have their data on a single disk and it fails, then they will have lost anything that has changed since the last backup. You are d...

Re: how can install a new harddisk?

If you have a RAID controller on the server, then it will not simply make the disk available to Windows. Do you have an application call ServerView RAID Manager installed? This will show the RAID configuration and allow you to make the disk available (unRAIDed ?) to Windows. Additionally what size d...

Re: [Econel 100 S2] Type of MegaRAID

Did you get the driver off the Fujitsu Technology Solutions downloads website http://ts.fujitsu.com/support/downloads.html ? The Econel normally uses the RAID controller on the motherboard. Do you get a name like "LSI Embedded MegaRAID"

Have you checked the ScreenSaver settings? Do you have to power it off with the button to recover?

Re: PRIMERGY TX200 s4 shutdown at midnight

Do you have ServerView Agents installed? If so have a look at the System Configuration Utility - it has a section on automatic power off. I believe that if this gets enabled the default is mid-night. Also, if you are running Windows, worth checking the event logs for entries around the time of shutd...

Re: FibreCat sx60 (New HDDs)

Well, you can't do anything with the disks until they are inserted into the SX60!

When you come to create the VDISK, you will need to specify the HDDs you want to be included (so they need to be already seen by the SX60) and you will need to specify the RAID level (persumably RAID 1).

Re: FibreCat sx60 (New HDDs)

Try http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/Manuals/ShowDescription_KMT.asp?DokuID=214441. Login into the GUI as Manager, and create a VDISK to define the RAID arrangement for the physical disks. Then create a VOLUME on the VDISK and finally MAP the volumes out to the HOSTS.

Re: FibreCAT TX08 and connection on a network

I believe that the for the Standard user default password std001 and for Admin user level default password adm001.

Mind you the sensible thing is to change the password when you install it.

Re: [TX200 S4] Boot from USB flash memory

In theory, as long as the BIOS can see the USB device, you should be able to boot off it. But as ever, there are always compatibilty issues.

1. Does the USB drive appear in the boot menu ?
2. If it does, what happens when you try to boot off it?

Re: SX60 & LPe1150 trough brocade 200e

Sounds a zone configuration issue on the switch. If you bring up the administration interface on the swicth you should be able to confirm change and zone mappings to allow the systems to connect.

Re: PRIMERGY TX150 S4 no boot

This was presumably working? So how about some history. Did it just stop? Or were you attemtping to change some hardware ?

I would check that al the power connectors are correctly seated. Next consider motherboard replacement.

Re: TX150 S5 Problem

I assume that you are doing a native installation - this requires you to (a) configure the RAID and (b) load the appropaite drivers. If you user ServerStart (now called Installation Manager), then it will perform the appropiate magic to get things going. Just make sure you state precisely the editio...
