Re: [P 1536] upgrade help.

You can install even HD4670. Don't go for Geforce, cause it consumes more power and give more heat.

Re: [Xi 1554] Windows7

You don't need drivers except graphic card (ati.com or nvidia.com) and sound card (www.realtek.com.tw). Rest is working perfectly.

Re: [XI 1546] video card upgrade?

It will work with ATI HD4670. Buy Radeon, not Geforce because the latter comsumes more power and gives more heat.

Re: Amilo Xi 1526 MXM type II or type III

Your laptop can handle MXM II and MXM III standard. Don't buy MXM HE or MXM 3.0 type A or type B.

It will work with ATI HD4670!!! Geforce cards consume more power and give more heat than Radeon!

Re: Xi1554. Problem with new HDD.

It's working with Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200rpm 16MB cache (WD5000BEKT) so try this one. If it's still the same issue then check if your Bios is the latest one.

Did you try to click "Set as default" in Digital Output tab in Realtek settings?

Re: Volume control wheel not function in Xi 1526 under Windo

You need to install drivers from Realtek website. I've had the same problem on Pi1536. It's a matter of drivers only!!!

Here's the link:

Re: Bigger disk in Amilo PI 1536

I've upgraded my "oldtimer" with Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200rpm 16MB cache (WD5000BEKT) - working perfectly and the power consumption is lower! From 5W (old HDD) to 1.8W (new HDD). I don't need to highlight the speed of the new HDD... ;-)

Re: Pi1536 with FullHD display!!!

I've bought my lcd on a local substitute of ebay (allegro.pl), but I've seen that you've got plenty of such stuff on ebay. I'll post my new lcd model soon. As long as new graphic cards operate with external monitors via dvi / hdmi with resolutions up to 2560x2048 (or something like this) so it's not...
