Re: [pi 2550] I need install xp

Again I think this site should make a sticky about nLite, but barring that, it wouldn't hurt to try and use the Search Function on this fine Website. http://forum.ts.fujitsu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=35082 Should give you some more information. To digest this, you wish to install XP on a La...

Re: [Pi2550] Problems with my keyboard

Assuming, for a moment that you wanted to add more RAM and needed to get the Second Slot, which is under the Keyboard. You would need to remove the Anchor Screw underneath the Laptop, and then with a some flat-edged device (Credit Card, Guitar Pick, same Screwdriver), around the edge of the Keyboard...

Re: [PA 3553] System Recovery Discs Create problem

The program that F-S has given us to build our Backup Media is IMHO rather ~retarded~... Ok you start the program blah blah blah. You insert the First Disc and it starts to burn. ...then the tray pops... It's done right?? WRONG! Were you actually prompted (On Screen) to swap that Disc? [probably not...

Re: is has Pi2550 IrDa-port?

I'm sorry if I'm not making myself clear to you, but so that we are on the same page what did you want to do with your CIR Port again?? If it has something to do with any kind Data Transfer (e.g. IrDa), then the answer is NO think of this "Port" in the same why you'd think of the One on yo...

Re: is has Pi2550 IrDa-port?

My understanding is that the CIR (on the Amilo Pi 2550), is a "Recieve ONLY!!" Device. The Amilo RC811 is the Model given in the Manual which you could find on the Drivers/Manual download Page. is a Windows (Vista), Media Center Remote, as such, I'm going to guess that it would only work w...

Re: is has Pi2550 IrDa-port?

Thanks! I'm understand. But: Where settings of Remote Control in Windows Media Center. I have installed WMC, but can't find this settings (port, COM e.c.) Looking at the downloaded Manual it seems to me that you could use a FSC RC811 (PC Express Card) Remote. There was someone selling these on ebay...

Re: Can't restore windows XP

I can only guess that you do not have any SATA/RAID Drivers on your Install Media. You could try using nLite http://www.nliteos.com/ (Note you'll need a working Windows environment to use this). Basicly with this Program you'd rip the Install Media to the HDD, and apply such Service Packs and Hotfix...

Re: [Pi 1505] Touchpad

I understand that the PI 1505 is no Pi 2550 and that although it's the combo FN+F6 for me. It would very likely be something different for you. You mean to tell me that your Laptop doesn't have a Button similar to this?? http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/382/fnf6nz1.jpg (Pic's a bit blurry but, tha...

Re: [Pi2550] Webcam

You can NOT "test" the Webcam al-la XP Style! The Drivers (such as they are), WORK!! If you have the misfortune to Vista, you'll have to use a Third-Party Webcam/Chat Program. This can be, but is not limited to: Free/Shareware: Netmeting GoogleTalk ACDsee FOSS (For Windows) dorgem W/o this...

Re: [Pi2550] Webcam

Unlike Xp where you could "test" the Webcam over the Control Panel (Scanners and Cameras), Vista Users do not have such a luxury. Vista Uses must use some other Program like Google Talk or ACDsee, Netmeting or whatever in order to "test" there Webcams. The Driver(s), on the F-S D...

Re: [Pi 1505] Touchpad

Doesn't the Pi 1505 offer you the ability to turn the Touchpad off??
Myself I have a Pi 2550 and I can turn off the Touchpad w/FN+F6.
Now I do understand that most Laptops use other conventions, but your Laptops should also have something similar...

Re: is has Pi2550 IrDa-port?

Did some digging by google and it would seem that CIR (or the iTECIR as it maybe), is NOT the same thing as an IrDA! While it would seem that while IrDA can send and ~receive~ Signals, CIR (Consumer Infrared), is for Remotes ONLY, specifically Windows Media Center Remotes. So that's likely why it do...

Re: is has Pi2550 IrDa-port?

You didn't say which OS you were looking for. But since F-S only support Vista and for tat reason I force myself to use that PoS (No thanks to AMD/ATi). I can only point you to the Vista Drivers here: http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/support/downloads.html The Driver in "question" is the &qu...
