Re: [Pa3553] HELP!! I splash cola on my keyboard

I'm not so sure it its the MO for most Fujitsu-Siemens Laptops out there. But, if it's anything like mine you need to undo the Screw underneath your Laptop marked "K/B" (Keyboard). This will unlock your Keyboard, which will then be held in place by Six Tabs (ACW: Shift+Tab, ESC+F1, F5+F6, ...

Re: [Pi 3525] 64bit OS problems - random reboots with 4 GB RAM!

Word. It's just one big nonsense what they did - "sorry we don't support former FSC models" :!: We discussed that matter here before... At least I hope they will not cancel the warranty for the "former FSC models" that would be for the front pages. Did you heard th...

Re: [Pi 3525] 64bit OS problems - random reboots with 4 GB RAM!

Correct - older Amilo Pi 2000 series doesn't seem to have this issue. Since you have Pi 2550 with 4 GB's and x64 OS, you can see for yourself that your model/series doesn't have this BIOS bug. If I remember correctly, not all of the Pi 3000 series have this issue. Our Pi 3525 does for sure :mrgreen...

Re: [Pi 3525] 64bit OS problems - random reboots with 4 GB RAM!

Oh so the problem only exhibits itself ~during~ the ~installation~ and not in the day-to-day operation then... Hummm crap and I just had the pleasure of a full installation this last Christmas Day, (then w/2Gib) and then installed the new RAM a few days afterwords. NO! You got it wrong - the proble...

Re: [Pi 3525] 64bit OS problems - random reboots with 4 GB RAM!

That's "yesterday's news" :) The Memory controller is just fine, the bug is inside BIOS (something with memory mapping over 4 GB boundary). Why it does occur only with 64 bit systems (instructions) we are not sure, since with PAE enabled (36bit OS support) the machine is rock stable with ...

Re: [Pi 3525] 64bit OS problems - constant restarting!

Ideas about LAN card drivers, etc. are wrong. FSC designed the Amilo Pi3540 with an incorrect memory controller! The device reports wronge values to the OS. I'll hope the FSC support will fix this some day. http://www.amilo-forum.com/topic,2326,-64-bit-OS-setup.html#p8578 We have ignition :) Memory...

Re: Memory Problem on Pi 2530

Ok I'll assume that you managed to locate the bottom Slot, and your now looking for the other ~one~. So if you carefully examine that Panel, you should note that the ~center most~ Screw is labeled "K/B" (i.e. Keyboard). You just need / have to remove that One Screw to unlock the Keyboard. ...

Re: [Pi 2550] Tastenbelegung falsch

Re: Replacing Amilo Pi 1505 hard drive

The only ~difference~ between SATA, SATAII and SATAIII would be the transfer speeds (ie. 1.5Gb/s, 3Gb/s, and 6Gb/s) the connectors would otherwise be identical. Such Hardware differences as noted would (or could), only arise from trying to install an IDE Device to a System equipped with a SATA Inter...

Re: Amilo Pi 2515 hard disk replacement

You do know the Difference between IDE and SATA don't you? PATA =/= IDE (e.g. it has Pins on it like an IDE Drive) SATA (Laptop/Desktop) have the same Power and Data I/O Tabs, they just have different form factors 5 1/4" Desktop and 3.5" for Mobiles So if it has PINS it's likely an IDE (or...

Re: [Pi 3525] TouchPad Driver?

I too would like to know why Fujitsu (Siemens), do not offer proper Touchpad Drivers? AFAIK: Touchpad Drivers come in two forms, Synaptic (the one I use on my Pi 2550), and the Alps version, which an older Laptop of mine used. So it could be that if the Synaptic don't work out you, could give the Al...

HA! Something BIG is happening.... look at the official FSC site, or should I say now Fujitsu site!!!! :D :D :D Old news is ~OLD!!!~ The Contract (Five Year), that Siemens had with Fujitsu expired at the end of 2008, and was not renewed, at this point in time Siemens has nothing to do with Computer...

[Pi2550] ATi Radeon 2400 HDCP

Ok I have a question of my own, and it kinda pertains to this question here: http://forum.ts.fujitsu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=39675 I'am (or was), planing to eventually update my stock multi-standard DVD with a Blue Ray Burner at some point when they fell a bit pricewise. What I wasn't thi...
