Re: Installing new drives

There is no simple way to do this although some TX100 S3 base units were capable of taking 4 HDDs so you could potentially just add the two disks as extras and then create a new RAID1 on the 2 new disks and use it for data

Re: LSI WebBIOS keep showing "PD Missing: Enclosure 8: Slot 3"

It does look like it is the firmware level that is the problem - all released disks for RX300 S6 seem to have a firmware level of 52xx .. is it possible that the replacement disk has come from an ETERNUS for example? The ETERNUS units run completely different firmware on their disks (520 byte blocks...

Re: Problems winth 3tb hard disk on SERVER PRIMERGY TX100 S2

1. What theory? As I previously said this server only supports up to 2Tb disks 2. The controller is an integral part of the motherboard so the controller update would be included in the BIOS firmware. As stated this server is OLD so no more updates will be available 3. There is a certified PCI RAID ...

Re: Problems winth 3tb hard disk on SERVER PRIMERGY TX100 S2

The largest hard disks supported by this server is 2Tb. The last BIOS update for the TX100 S2 was nearly 6 years old (shows how old the server is) - so no, I suspect there is nothing you can do apart from buy authorised 2Tb disks instead

Re: RX200 S8 stuck at boot with new expansion card

That's interesting as the illustrated spares guide shows the NVS300 to be a x1 LP card. Or are you saying you don't have the riser at all that gives slots 2 and 3? Certainly the upgrade and maintenance manual suggests it should go in slot 3

Re: RX200 S8 stuck at boot with new expansion card

The only thing I can see is that the preferred slot for this card is slot 3 - have you tried other slots?

Re: primergy tx120 s3 : ECC RAM "Reg" or "unbuffered"

The TX120 S3 only supports unbuffered DIMMs - there is no support for registered DIMMs

Re: Primergy TX 300 S8

Yes should be possible using RAID Level Migration (RLM)

I'd use something like ServerView RAID manager to initiate it - I think it's an option on the right-click menu for the existing logical drive

Re: PRIMERGY TX1310 M3

It appears Fujitsu don't support a plug in RAID card for this server - it is the very basic subentry-level server after all There is hardware RAID built in on the motherboard (LSI SATA Embedded MegaRAID) - this needs to be enabled in the BIOS as it is disabled by default. However there are some rest...
