Any chance of HDBR?

And is the disk damaged in any way???

Maybe you should consider another laptop. Is it under warranty?

Seek professional advice, I am only 14 after all!

No!

Did you restart your laptop? Also, have you ever tried the HDBR fuction if this laptop has it? Or is that just for Vista?

I am not sure. Considering the state your computer is in now, I don't think it could get any worse if you try recovery without the BIOS. I wouldn't worry about it too much, although perhaps you could look in the manuals that came with your computer about recovery, and see what it says there, if you ...

Firstly, welcome to the forum: This is based on my experience with XP Home Edition on my dekstop PC. It should depend on how many disks you have. I have two. Get number one to start with, it should state this clearly on the disk. Insert it into your drive while your PC is turned on, and then if you ...

Hi, I assume you mean the HDBR provided by Fujitsu Siemens. Did you not get a recovery DVD when you first got the laptop? Also, try some Partition software, I believe Partition Magic may do something to access the recovery files. And did you just press F8, or did you press it down, you should press ...

Yes, you should be able to find it in the Device Manager under Network Components, and you could try the manufacturer and the FSC website, to see which turns out best. I personally find that letting my OneCare (firewall and anti virus) appear in my taskbar, and then switching the wireless on is the ...

Hi there, Sorry if this doesn't help, but I assume you are running Windows Vista? If not please inform, but if you go to Start and begin to type Keyboard into the search bar, a option will appear, simply titled "Keyboard". I would recommend clicking that and just having a general play arou...

Ok, glad you found my tips useful. Launch Manager is just the application that allows you to use that button. I tend to let my Amilo load before lauching the wireless, but after you have pressed it, you shouldn't be waiting a long time for it to connect to your router! If you do find yourself waitin...

[AMILO Li1718] 1Time always incorrect on Amilo Li 1718?

Hello all, Just had my Li 1718 notebook for over a month now. been great but now it seems to have developed some very strange behaviour with the clock and date. Hi, I would recommend that you do not place the router near computers, mobile phones, or TV's, as well as other wireless devices, also check the range of your router some have up to 30m, some go up to 100, and even 200m, (the high end models), These factors can seriously affect the signal. Also, try...

[Li1718] Good place to upgrade RAM on Amilo Li 1718?

Hello all, I have been considering upgrading my RAM, on my Amilo Li 1718, since finding out that my Graphics (ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series( is stealing 128MB of my RAM. However, I have a few questions. Firstly, I do not want to upgrade the memory myself, so I would like to ask does anyone know if t...
