If you cannot sell it take it to your local tip (recycling centre as they are now known), the guy who has the scrap franchise will be able to recycle it, don't expect him to give you any money though :)

A little confusing this one based on the information provided however: scaredghost, find out what bios you have in your machine (I would check this out myself but need to sleep soon) and then look up the beep codes for that bios. The "biiip bip bip" is a beep code telling you that SOMETHIN...

Does altering the angle of the screen when the monitor starts flashing make any difference ?
When the screen is dark can you still see an image displayed faintly or does if flash too quickly to be able to tell ?

i pulled the screen back so it was level with the keboard - 180 degrees rather 90 odd degrees and the flickering stopped. Now...that may be a loose/faulty connection on the ribbon cable from the screen to the mobo. Anyway it would still be a hardware fault. Regarding turnaround at FS, I have seen e...
