For me this happens when I insert mass storage usb device into a front usb socket. I don't know how to prevent this message, because I presume that I have usb 2.0 already everywhere. I recall that I have some USB settings in BIOS like: "Legacy USB", "High-speed USB" and "USB...

Re:

When I use the DVI socket, I need to connect it to my TV with a DVI->HDMI adapter. Windows then thinks I am using a Plug and Play monitor and does not give me the option to specify a resolution that properly fits my widescreen TV. It does when I use VGA. Try to find display drivers for your TV! :lo...

Did you open and clean you computer from dust? Try to run it while it is opened and recognize, which unit gives the sound. If this is the HD then you are right about its soon death. But I think that this is some electric inductivity from some chips, which is coming, when you do something. I often he...

What I found at forum (http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=395816&goto=nextoldest) is: "There are some issues with some of the latest WD Sata drives and the VIA 8237 chipset." Also I saw that your motherboard supports 150MB/s. So, there could be some problems if 300MB/s drive is n...

What is your motherboard model and what is model of the new hard drive? Probably, this will give more information.
It looks strange for me that you does not have any SATA options in BIOS. How does it work at all then?

Just go to My Computer properties -> Device manager and see if you have there any unknown devices or more than one network device, one of which seems to be wireless.
Or post here your motherboard model, processor type and tell if you have any extension cards with antennas.

Does your new hard drive actually running? I.e. can you feel it spinning? Did you try to connect your default hard drive with new wires (leads), which you are planning to connect the new drive? Do you have all options "Auto" for SATA? What do you mean by SATA2? I heard that the specificati...
