My Scaleo P is pretty much silent, unless I am playing a game, or using a program which uses 100% of the CPU for a long period of time. It may be that your computer has a virus or some kind of adware which is using up your CPU. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard to look at the active processes and ...

Memory Card Reader

My cardreader has always worked. When I put a card into the memory card slot, I have to go to Start -> My Computer and then double click on Removeable disk (G:). But it depends which card you have. So try the different Removeable disks and see if one works. If there are no Removeable disks in your &...

Do you really need the drivers for the monitor? My monitor doesn't need drivers (Sony GDM-2036S), it just uses the Default Monitor setting. I can't find the drivers for it anyway, but it works fine. My Packard Bell monitor works fine on the Default Monitor setting aswell. Is there any desperate need...

On my Scaleo P, the fan speed is only around 1500rpm on the AMD Athlon 3200+ CPU fan. It rises to around 3500rpm when playing games. Seems to cool down the CPU fine, but makes quite a noise.

Use Lavalys Home Edition (you can download it off Google) to monitor CPU heat and fan speed.

My first Scaleo P was faulty. It turned itself off once, and I was able to turn it back on again. Then the second time It turned itsefl off, it wouldn't turn on properly. The blue lights were on at the bottom, but the ring of blue light surrounding the power button would not switch on. So I had to t...

Fujitsu-Siemens don't seem to make any posts on this forum, but users can get their problem solved from other users. I'm sure some people don't get a result, but others do. Lots of PC manufacturers don't have a forum anyway, so I think it's an added bonus to the support, even if it is not always tha...

The fact that your computer doesn't appear to be getting past the initial POST (Power On Self Test), that indicates that there is a hardware failure. No software runs, until your computer has completed these tests. Sounds like faulty RAM, or a faulty motherboard to me. Can you access the BIOS when t...

Although I would be quite annoyed if my Scaleo P played up in any way, has it not occured to you that the ATI X600 may not be a Fujitsu-Siemens fault, but an ATI fault? And on my Scaleo P, there is a 350w Power supply, which should be enough to run the ATI X600. What makes you say the graphics card ...

Oh right...well that wouldn't be related to your USB problems, as the ethernet device doesn't use a USB port. I need more information about the USB problem before I can help you...like when it happens and if it's happened since you plugged something in etc... And if your ethernet device has a red X ...

Would've thought it could be to do with the fact you've got the detail settings too high for the Graphics Card maybe? Or might be your monitor refresh rate is too slow (are you using a TFT monitor)? The nVidea 6200 Turbo Cache is a budget model, but should be able to run the games smoothly if you do...

Sounds like you need to get the drivers for whatever device it is. If you right click on My Computer and click on Manage, then click on Device Manager down the left hand side. Any device not recognised should have a question mark by it, and it should tell you what sort of device it it (multemida, ne...

My fan on my Scaleo P is quite Noisy when i'm playing games or the CPU usage is on 100%. However, it doesn't hiss, just sounds like a whirring motor noise. Maybe you should try cleaning your fan if it's dusty, and definitely checking to see that it is the fan (on my Scaleo P, you can see the fan if ...

You didn't make yourself very clear. What exactly do you mean by "Some programs use more than 100% processortime."? Do you mean that some programs use 100% of the processor all the time? And if you do then it could be a virus, or it could just be the program which requires a lot of process...

A PCI Express card will not fit into a normal PCI slot. They are two different things. And yes, it is confusing! PCI Express cards are generally faster than AGP cards, as PCI Express is newer, and supports faster speeds. PCI Express is supposed to be taking over standard AGP cards and slots. It just...
