One last question - I've just obtained a known working fan and connected it but this one also doesn't spin. I understand my mobo/cpu are probably dead but there is a voltage coming from the fan plug (as per my inital post) so why would a working fan not spin? i got scared once, becase on my pi1536,...

REMEMBER: You need WUXGA LCD (1920x1200) to watch FullHD movies! i see, so it uses same connections. 2 bad no hdmi port is available. anyways, i saw you had some issues when mounting new screen on some other thread, the cable i believe wasnt compatible. how u tweaked dat. i didnt go that back on yo...

just take off ur BIOS battery for a couple of minutes.
boot it up, reset optimal preferences, r default onde, and there u go.

otherwise its the motherboard, thats already broken.

well, afaik, original BIOS support up to 4gb of ram dd2 up to 667mhz, correct me if im wrong.
so search ram between those parameters.

or do reset bios, by pullyng the bios battery out for a couple of minutes.
