Re: Fujitsu lifebook AH550, the fan work continuously and no

I have a different model (Lifebook PH521) and the fan stays ON even on standby (with the LCD is OFF). If Fujitsu designed it that way, thats' a blunder in my opinion. I should have bought an Asus. The worst part, I tried to contact Taiwan Service (from where I bought my notebook), they said it is no...

Re: i screwed up

Although I don't exactly know how did the problem happened in details, I' m positive your notebook will be restored. Based on the "load driver" errors, it's not that serious. Good luck.

Re: CPU Fan is ON ALL the Time

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Standby means the notebook saves power by turning OFF LCD/Hard Disk, but the keyboard/mouse remains active. At this point, my notebook's fan is still RUNNING. I think the Fujitsu Taiwan has a hard time understanding my concern. They only advised to update AMD drivers ...

Re: CPU Fan is ON ALL the Time

Thanks for the reply Mod. I think this model is only in Asia-Pacific; I bought in Taiwan. The BIOS is the latest based on the website (version 1.16), and I have even re-flashed. So is it conclusive that having the fan running all the time NOT NORMAL? (even when system is on standby, LCD OFF)?

CPU Fan is ON ALL the Time

Hi there. I have a PH521 Lifebook. I noticed the fan is running ALL the time. My concern is to maximize power savings. The BIOS fan settings only have "normal" and "silent". Changing the settings seems nothing has changed. Is the ran running all the time normal? Are all Fujitsu n...

How to Dual Boot From a UEFI BIOS (Phoenix SecureCore TIANO)

I have spent more than a week looking for a direct instruction on how to dual-boot my Lifebook PH521 with Phoenix SecureCore Tiano. My search turned out with vague results. My conclusion, UEFI Dual Boot is STILL not mature. I have no problem booting on Live USB to try Linux, and almost all of my har...

Any Bad Experience on Phoenix SecureCore Tiano BIOS?

I think I messed up the BIOS of my PH521. It has Phoenix SecureCore Tiano BIOS with UEFI support. I want to dual-boot Linux & The Pre-installed Windows 7. I was a bit adventurous in doing so. But I know what I was doing to the BIOS, and if anything goes wrong, the BIOS should easily reset I supp...
