Actually, it is a problem. Because it disables after reboot, or after shutting down. So in that fact, I can't use WLAN on Ubuntu. I would recommend to use Ubuntu, or any other Linux distro.
Than you don't need to install extra drivers for everything, because everything already works (except WiFi).
