If you have Linux, you can do this. Remember the CF must not be mounted or else you'll screw up. Clone the whole CF to an image. Assuming the CF reader is /dev/sdc: dd if=/dev/sdc of=my_cf_backup.img bs=1024 And clone the image back to the new CF: dd if=my_cf_backup.img of=/dev/sdc bs=1024 This clon...

I'm afraid I haven't tried this on an S300, but I have a Futro S400 and have had no problems installing Debian (on a 1GB CF) and Ubuntu (on an 8GB CF). I don't have a USB CD, so I installed via network boot (PXE). I followed this method and worked like a charm: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Inst...
