Then start up machine with SATA cable REMOVED from hard drive. Once the "Boot from CD" screen disappears and you hear the CD/DVD Drive spin up insert the SATA cable to the hard drive. Everything works fine from then on. Genius! How did you discover that one? Surely not trial & error? ...

The biggest hurdle is the HBA adapter, but W2K3 drivers tend to work for XP. Thanks for the advice. I do want to use RAID, so the drivers will be needed. Has anyone managed an XP install on a TX150R6?

I've not tried yet (this query is pre-purchase). I've had varying success in the past with other servers where desktop OS's like XP is not supported, but not had the opportunity to try on a TX150. I don't mind jumping through a few hoops if necessary.
