Just a quick update on this... because I know there's a lot of negative posts on here about things not working, and few good things... Well, I've had my PC for a good 2 months now - and it's still purring like a kitten... We've installed loads of programs, some have worked, some haven't... loads of ...

Just to let anyone who's interested know - I used a free program called 'Audacity' - and it works like a charm, no additional drivers, etc. etc.

So go forth and get recording!!!

Hi! I've recently bought an xi 3650 (they're fab by the way)... Now then in the past I've used Total Recorder on XP and All Recorder Vista now... So I've enabled stereo mix, set it as default... chosen it in both of these programs... And nothing records! Well, silence records... I can record through...

Well, I would certainly get another... I think the problem with any laptop / PC, there are so many components that can go wrong...

Mine arrives tomorrow! I'll let you know, but considering this hybrid technology and specific claims of 'silent mode' - I'd be very surprised if it's loud... My Dell XPS is quite load so I'll be glad to upgrade to this sexy thing!!!!
