recovery disc on a usb?

I installed win8 but want to go back to win7. I don't have an external cdrom drive to install from the disc. Is there a way to have the recovery disc converted to usb to boot from?

Re: bluetooth

I used this Toshiba version v63001FSC_20081226 from u9215 section under windows vista, as windows 7 has no bt drivers. I installed it on my u9200 with win7 and works great!

[u9200] mic is too low

I installed windows 7 and all the drivers are installed, according to Device Manager. But when I use voice chat in WLM or Skype the mic is too low, even if I increased the db in mic properties. What gives?

[u9200] update bios

My bios version is 1.07 Phoenix. Is it a good idea to update the bios to version 1.11 or just leave it as it is?? Would there be any noticeable difference?

Thanks

[u9200] card reader

I have an M2 memory card with its adapter, which then would be the size of Memory Stick, which is compatible with the built-in card reader. However, when I insert the card, it doesn't go all the way in as it's a bit small, unless i use something to push it in. Is that normal or is this a flaw in mine?

[u9200] how to get battery settings back?

I reformatted and did a clean install of vista (retail, not the dvd that came with laptop) and installed all the drivers, but I don't get the Fujitsu siemens settings for optimum battery usage, how can regain that option? Is it necessary or just use windows default Balanced settings?

Re: [U9200] UMTS/HSDPA support yes or no and general information

I have the same configuration as you guys, but I don't any of those connectivity option you're talking about. In "Wireless Selector" I have "UMTS" disabled, no option for on or off. That means I only have wan and bluetooth?

[U9200] just got my new esprimo!

I just got my new laptop, what's the best to protect the battery and not let it deteriorate fast. Is there a program to control that or something? Should I keep the charge to 80 or 90% and unplug it?

Your input is appreciated.
