Why not just modify the ones from AMD? Thats what I did, I'm using 9.9 on my Amilo2550 with W7 64bit, the newer ones blue screened, but 9.9 seem ok http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php
Does Vista run that bad on these laptops? I've never had any problem with Vista on my PI2550, I just installed XP and Vista on it, I thought there was a problem with Vista as IE7 with kept freezing, but that was flash player 10  You may find some of the drivers Fuji have for Vista will work wi...
You will probably need to contact Fuji for this, unless someone has the same problem I doubt you will get much help here, sounds like a very odd problem, I know after flashing to 1.15c for the first time the laptop lost the battery from windows and the battery light was flashing orange all the time,...
I doubt it's really using 850mb, if thats what Vista says then it's not really right, I think it reports total usable memory or something, my graphics card has 640mb on it on my main PC, but Vista says something like 1024
I would never flash a bios from windows, thats a easy way to kill a motherboard, the CD is the best option. You can load the default values after if you like, if it's running normally it's not a problem, it won't really help either way, with a desktop PC you can clear the cmos buy using jumpers or b...
I would say the shop got it wrong, it looks like the P5800 runs at 2.4, the P8400 runs at 2.26 so I can't see the P8500 running slower, it probably has the P7350, still running at 2.0 as per the ad, also the P series has a fsb of 1066 and 3mb cache, so they actually list a lower spec
The drivers are getting a bit old now, you could try updating them, there is a tool to modify the latest ATI drivers so you can use them on your laptop, it's worth a try, I'm using the latest version 8.10, they seem ok http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php
Did you extract the files before using nlite? I tried installing XP on my 2550 with a usb floppy drive, it detected the hdd and formatted it, but then asked me to put the floopy in the fdd at the end, so the usb floppy didn't seem to work for me
Glad to hear that, I too looked at installing XP 64, you can always turn of the remote thing in bios if you don't use it, then you should be able to find the other 64 drivers
As you said fn+f7 should turn it on, when it's on you should see the LED lit, it should also show in device manager, mine just says usb 2.0 webcam, and I didn't even load any drivers for it
I just reflashed to 1.15 and it seems ok this time, although I still had problems with IE7 and IE8, so I've just formatted it and I'm installing XP and Vista
I was already using 1.14c when I updated to 1.15c, now I'm back to 1.11c and ie7 seems better, it was ok with the others but if the page didn't load then ie7 froze, even when I flashed back from 1.15c it took a while to find the battery, maybe if I had left it then it would have been ok, but the pro...
