Re: Cursor disappears while typing

It happens to me, On MSN, but I find it a good thing, it makes it disappear so it doesn't cover the writing, but then when I finish typing it comes back,

Only does it on Windows Live though, it hasn't done it whilst typing this! :D

Re: [AMILO Li1718] Youtube Problem

Hello Sam,

I have finally found a solution to this problem - and best of all it works!

All you need to do is right click on the Full screen button on the YouTube video taskbar at the bottom, and click settings.

Then just untick "enable hardware acceleration"
Job done!

Re: Amilo Li1705 randomly freezes

I hate to tell you this, but that model is known for a plethora of problems.

Have you tried using external mouse and keyboard? Have you tried doing a fresh install of Vista?

Hmmmm....

Seems a rather strange and tricky problem.

Re: [AMILO Li1718] Can't turn on wireless under XP

On system startup, enter the BIOs by pressing F2. Go to Advanced: and under default networking or something like that, select Wireless LAN, and the wireless adapter should be turned on shortly after loading up XP, it may take a minute or two. Sorry for digging up a rather old thread, but i've just d...

Re: [AMILO Li1718] RAM On Amilo Li 1718?

Hey

Realise this is quite an old thread now but just thought I would post this brief reply.

Just updated to Vista SP1, and the RAM in the Vista Welcome Centre is now showing as 1.00GB, and the Graphics score with Windows Experience Index has gone from a 2.5 to a 2.7 :D

Is there a backlight present or is it completely dead?

Do you wait a few seconds before just switching it off to revive it?

JustinCase wrote: Hibernating however works great.

Why not just use hibernation then?

[AMILO Li1718] Can i remove my notebook battery?

Hello all, Just a quick question here, I have an Amilo Li 1718, and was just wondering is it fine to remove the battery from it and run it using mains power only? I used it for more than 4 hours at a time, so it makes sense to remove the battery, so I don't have to keep it at 100% fully charged, as ...

Hey, Apologies but I cannot get on to the FSC website to check the spec on your notebook. I imagine that if it's new it should have Wi-Fi intergrated, as I can't find one laptop nowadays that hasn't got wireless built in. Somewhere on your notebook there should be a switch or a button with a wireles...
