Synchronising N560 with Bluetooth

I know this problem has been discussed time and again, but I have searched many forums and have not come up with a successful solution to it. I am finding it very frustrating! Has anyone here managed to synchronise their N560 with a PC via Bluetooth straight from the box without any special drivers,...

Gunther,

Are you suggesting using the Bluetooth stack for this USB device on the NS560?

Re: tomtom 6 running very slow on my Loox n560

Perform a Soft reset, put the processor on Turbo speed and start TomTom Go to Browse Map mode Disable all POIs Centre over London Select the magnification slider half way so the whole of London is in view Let it loa...

Re: N560 and Bluetooth

OK, let's try another approach. Has anyone been able to run ActiveSync on Bluetooth with the N560 straight from the box - i.e. no additional drivers, software, hacking etc?

Recommended Acrobat Readers?

What Acrobat readers are recommended for the N560? I am trying Foxit, but it doesn't recognise .pdf extensions, needing to be open before opening the Acrobat file.

Re:

A further trawl of Maplin's pages produced this http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48574&&source=14&doy=29m1 The cigarette lighter plug could be cut off and the device hardwired into the accessory socket and I'd say that one of the power tips woud fit the socket on the N520 co...

Re:

Yes, the N5xx has a special connector that is used for both the mains and the car chargers. The USB cable also has this type of conector as part of the cable and has a socket for the mains charger to plug into. So probably all I am looking for is a 12V to 5V converter as presumably the device itsel...

Re:

The N 5xx series uses a standard power plug (or more correctly a socket) to connect to its own special connector so it would be very straightforward to solder such a standard socket to whatever power supply I can come up with. But it may well be that I'll have to end up with a floating cigarette so...

Re:

Thanks, Mike. Getting the 12V power supply isn't the problem as my car has an accessory socket under the dash. The problem is how to connect that 12V supply to my N520 as it needs some sort of charger device rather than just a straight 12V input. As I said, I could just install an additonal lighter...

Re: 12V power supply for N520 for in-car use

I know I can use the cigarette lighter power supply that comes with the N520, but I want to hard wire in a power supply under the dash so as to leave my lighter socket free. My car has an accessory socket in the wiring loom and I could wire in a lighter socket and plug the charger into that, but is...

N560 and Bluetooth

I have had my N560 for 5 days. I have had a few problems which have been solved, but one problem remains - Bluetooth + ActiveSynch. I see there are several threads here and elsewhere about this issue where it is recommended to load a new Bluetooth 'stack' (e.g. Broadcom). However, I have also read t...

I am using an OCZ HiSpeed 150x 4Gb SD card. No problems. Unfortunately, on my laptop, my cheap usb card reader only sees 1Gb of it!
