offcourse but problem with XI was bios suppport ,with all xi boards not recognizing the 4gb memory (not depending brand nor os) even in bios we were limited to 2.5 .........and in that case put "128bit "os if it is not recogized by bios uselless.............that was the main pain ...... HA...

at his time for almost 3 months have kingston value ram series ....generic memory........despite on kingston configuration page it say for amilo xi series garanty for kingston brand modules that are certified to work and 100 % compatible .........working without problems ....on vista x32 and 64 bit ...

forget about the datasheets about their laptops....... despite it says 2gb max it's supports 2.5 actually...... ream my comment on topic 2gb max ram on amilo xi laptop on this board... you can put 2gb in easch slot but above 2.5 is unrecognized cause it's bios issue at least for this bios version .....
