I'm not sure how to solve your problem, but if you deactivate one of those "secondary" graphic card stubs (by right-clicking on it, selecting "properties" and changing the setting at the low end of the box there from "activate" to "deactivate") in the device m...

I have now bought a different power supply at 300W (the only one more powerful than the original that is said to fit our machine, the Esprimo P) and a FANLESS GeForce 7600 GT (from XFX), since it's likely to require less "juice" than fan-equipped ones, and the 7600 GT series are probably t...

I do not know what your problem is, but in my experience the latest drivers for an older graphics card are often a cause of trouble, and your card has been around on the market for several years, hasn't it? In fact, NVidia and ATI do not recommend upgrading to the latest drivers unless the ones in u...

The way you stated having used to find info about the amount of RAM installed (Control Panel - System) is one of the two normal ways to arrive at the same screen (the other being right-clicking at "My Computer" and in the list there choose "Properties"). My guess is that if the n...

Never heard of a computer called "T-Bird", but if it came with 256 MB RAM and there is a free RAM-slot next to the one in use, then I'm pretty sure you can stick an other 256 MB RAM-module there and thereby get a total of 512 MB RAM. But it's critical that you use the right kind of RAM-mod...

Scaleo E is supposed to be relatively silent. Have you checked in BIOS (to get to BIOS: press F2 when prompted to do so at the bottom of the screen at the startup of the computer) whether there is a setting for "quiet or performance mode"? The performance mode is noisier than the quiet mod...

You can open the computer case and have a look at the information given on your PSU directly regarding its capacity. Then compare with the power supply requirements for that graphics card.

That's a strange thing. I have an Esprimo P 5905, too, but not your problem. And I have done nothing not to get your problem. It sounds like a software problem, you know, regarding the instructions the computer is to follow. Have you tried reinstalling the OS (Windows XP)?

Are you sure that's the correct name of that card? Because, when I search for it on google I get no hits for it whatsoever. That's not a likely result, if there ever was such a card on the market. If all you need is to find out whether that card has a VGA-out option maybe you don't need to know the ...

Shouldn't be any problem. I've done that lots of times. It will freshen up the computer for sure. But it's a time-consuming process and you better save all the stuff you want to keep (like mail) to some external media before going ahead with it, since the process eradicates all data on the HD. That ...

Maybe I didn't express myself clearly enough. NVidia has designed the "engine" of all cards that are called "GeForce". But other companies can take this engine (after having been licensed to do so by NVidia), trim it to their own specifications (to some degree) and put different ...

The manufacturer of that card is NVidia. You'll find the information you need in the section for that card model on http://www.nvidia.com. To be precise, NVidia is the manufacturer of the graphics processing unit (circuitry) called "GeForce 6600...". Other manufacturer are licensed to use ...

"NVidia GeForce 6600" is mentioned as a graphics option in the data sheet for your computer. Why don't you go to the manufacturer's site (http://www.nvidia.com) and ask them if this unit will work for Vista Aero? Better ask Fujitsu-Siemens, too, whether that graphics unit is a normal PCI-E...

As far as I know the way to update the BIOS is to copy the update (fully extracted) to a floppy disc, insert that disc and then restart the computer, which makes the computer go to the floppy disc and read the instructions there, once you've confirmed the process. When the BIOS has been updated you ...
