After updating the Video card bios i am using the 91 series drivers.

My fan is not on all the time only when system requires (as per XP).

Have you updated your video card bios?

Whatever way it is fitted you need to pull down in the opposite direction, Not out but actually down and it should come out.

Can you post the website link please. FSC along with Microsoft test Laptops for Vista compatabilty and create drivers for them. On the laptop you should have touchpad software as part of the FSC build, have you tried looking at settings in there. you can change the speed and sensitivity of the pad.
