Not to spoil the party, but please read the lagging issue thread when you have some hopes that FS will actually provide a fix or service for this issue by themselves. The fastest solution: court & never buy FS again.

just a note:
I have been able to reproduce a first lag/brr since i started to use 7200rpm hds. (may last year) I was doing some intensive wav form processing, compiling of dv avi and copying from a usb stick when it happened a few times. It never happened before. not with gaming either.

I wonder if he even continued his lawsuit... It's sad FSC did nothing, but absolutely nothing about the problem. And it's sad this thread is fading away now.. but welp, there is really nothing to do about it. I am also surprised consumer right organisations or magazines didn't jump on this. The lapt...

Been using my 3438g with hitachi hds for several months now. Haven't noticed any lag since... so finally i am very happy with this laptop. It's sad i had to solve the problem myself.. but well, couldn't expect anything from FSC anymore. Just have learned one thing: no more products from them again.

I think you should understand better. You don't 'just' send the bill to FSC and 'hope' they will pay.

I am very happy to be with this club now :) :lol: I would advise anyone else to do the same when you are unable to get your money back and when you already went through all the 'repair' hassle with fsc, are tired of waiting and really really really need to -use- this laptop.... at least try to send ...

Forget about replacing it. That part of the notebook is extremely harmful. I have my 3438g in a crumpler bag, with sleeve + an extra slip over it. Still that plastic area gets scratched... so i wouldn't go through all the hassle with FSC.. it will be the same looking after some time...
