I had a problem with my Scaleo P hanging after startup and also on the BIOS screen (Fujitsu-Siemens logo). It was a controller issue for the DVD drive as it was detecting it wrongly. I had a new mainboard and it's been fine since. But you can check this by right clicking on My computer, clicking man...

If you ran the Vista Upgrade Advisor before you installed then it should've told you that Nero 6 would not work under Windows Vista. However you may find that if you click on more detail when you get the error then the fault is msa.dll. If you download this from here: http://www.olinformatique.com/d...

Yes. unless Everest tells you then you'll have to look inside. It's probably very likely that it is 350W (if your PC is fairly recent) so you shouldn't worry too much.

Hey. Yeah that graphics card looks good, and should also work on your computer. You need to make sure you've got a large power supply (350W or more) before you fit it (you might have to look inside or everest may be able to tell you) as it won't work properly without a big enough one. Make sure you ...

Yes DDR2 is one of the best types of RAM available. The Radeon X550 is not that great a card (I have it on my computer) and so that is probably your main problem, not your RAM. You might need to decrease the detail setting on your game and close down software that you're running before you start the...

It is more likely that your CPU and graphics card will have more of an impact on your gaming than the speed or amount of RAM you have (although anything upwards of 1GB you should be fine). How much RAM do you have at the moment? And what CPU/graphics card do you have? If you really want gaming then ...

It says on the manual that that motherboard can support up to 2GB. It supports DDR400/333/266 DIMM and 2.5V DDR DIMM, although you only have 2 slots. Also check on here http://www.crucial.com/uk/ and that will scan your system as well just to be sure. Everest Home will tell you what memory you've go...

Download Lavalys Everest Home Edition (search of google) and that will tell you a lot of info about your motherboard. If you're not sure post back the model of your motherboard and we'll tell you. Also, type in your product ident number on the Fujitsu-Siemens download page and that will tell you wha...

Hey, It appears you have 2 DVD Drives. Have you tried both of them? There have been a number of reports with problems from burning to/reading from DVDs from that LG DVD writer. I suggest you contact Fujitsu-Siemens and ask them about it as it appears to be faulty.

You can find the model of your DVD writer by going to My Computer, right clicking on your DVD writer and clicking properties, then clicking on the hardware tab. It will tell you the model next to the picture of a CD. I had a similar problem with my DVD writer and the mainboard had to be replaced as ...

Yes, the model of your DVD writer would help! Also, check for errors in your event log (go to control panel, administrative tools, event viewer, then click on system on the right hand side). That might give you some help. Otherwise it's likely that your DVD writer is faulty.

It's more than likely to be the motherboard, although what part I cannot say as it's pretty hard to determine what's wrong with just one beep!

I have an A8NE-FM board and it has a Phoenix BIOS, so the BIOS beep codes should be for a phoenix bios. Does it just keep on making one beep? Because if it does, there doesn't appear to be a bios beep code to match that. I would've thought it is probably your graphics card, memory or CPU. But i'm ju...

Not all Scaleo Ps are exactly the same specification and some Scaleo Ps may not be able to run Windows Vista. By the sounds of it however, you can run Windows Vista but you can check by running the Windows Vista upgrade advisor from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyoru...

This may be unrelated but on the first day I had my Scaleo P, it switched itself on, and the blue ring of light around the power button didn't come on, the lights at the bottom did, but it didn't do anything. The one we have now has been fine for a year. I don't know for sure what caused my scaleo P...
