Re: What os you have on Primergy 1310?

I run Proxmox on my TX1320M2. Works great. Are you running PROXMOX over SATA HDDs connected to the internal SATA RAID onboard? Andrea Dear Andrea, In contrary to my first reply, I am now running Proxmox over SATA HDDs connected to the internal SATA connectors onboard. I have removed the LSI 9211-8i...

Re: TX1320 M2: How to connect drives in HDD expansion box to mainboard SATA ports

Yes! It is possible to connect the two SATA drives in the HDD expansion box of the TX1320M2 directly to the D-3373 mainboard SATA ports 5 and 6, without placing a dedicated HBA/RAID controller. In this case I used the Supermicro CBL-SAST-0631 HD MiniSAS reverse breakout SATA cable . The two drives w...

Re: TX1320 M2: How to connect drives in HDD expansion box to mainboard SATA ports

I just tried using a Supermicro MiniSAS HD to 4x SATA 50/50cm Cable (CBL-SAST-0616).

It did not work. The drives were not recognised.

Will try again using a reverse breakout cable soon.

TX1320 M2: How to connect drives in HDD expansion box to mainboard SATA ports

Is it possible to connect the two drives in the TX1320 M2 HDD expansion box to the two SATA ports on the mainboard?

Physically it would be possible with a mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) -> 4xSATA cable, while using just two SATA connectors of course.

Has anyone tried this?

Primergy TX1320M2 TX1330M2: BIOS update to support Kabylake processors

It would be really nice if Fujitsu would release a bios update to support faster and more energy efficient Kabylake processors for the TX13x0M2 series, as the mainboard would probably support it.

Does anyone agree?

Re: What os you have on Primergy 1310?

I run Proxmox on my TX1320M2. Works great. Are you running PROXMOX over SATA HDDs connected to the internal SATA RAID onboard? Andrea It could be done that way, but I have disabled the hardware RAID option as it is not necessary nor advisable (according to quite a few people). Proxmox offers ZFS (a...

Flash D3373-Ax with D3373-B1x BIOS rom

I have a Fujitsu Primergy TX1320 M2 with a D3373-Ax mainboard. This mainboard supports Intel Skylake family processors in its 1151 socket, for example Xeon E3-1230v5. Mainboards of other manufacturers support the newer Intel Kabylake processors in the same 1151 socket with the same Intel C236 chipse...
